Austin Reaves, the 25-year-old guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, had a challenging outing during Team USA’s recent FIBA World Cup game against Lithuania, which ended in a 110-104 defeat.

Reaves came off the bench, scoring 7 points on 1/4 field goals, and fouled out after playing just under 13 minutes.

Vaidas Kariniauskas, representing Lithuania, was a standout performer, contributing a team-high 15 points, including a couple of and-one plays against Reaves.

In the wake of the game, social media was buzzing with comments, both critical and supportive. Notably, Austin Reaves’ brother, Spencer, who was teammates with Kariniauskas in Germany last season, decided to address the critics with a touch of humor.

Spencer Reaves took to X to share his thoughts, saying, “People really had ‘Austin Reaves sucks’ tweets just waiting in the drafts for a bad game 😂😂.”

His tweet playfully acknowledged the existence of pre-prepared negative comments while injecting some lighthearted humor into the situation.
