How Prince William and Kate Feel About George’s Coronation Role
Prince William and Kate Middleton are giving out their royal stamp of approval.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their reaction to their eldest son, Prince George, taking part in King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla‘s coronation. As a Page of Honour during the event, The role will entail the 9-year-old will walk in the procession and carry Charles’ robes inside London’s Westminster Abbey on May 6.
“His parents are very excited and delighted that he is a page,” a spokesperson for William and Kate told People in a statement published April 14. “It’s something that his parents have thought long and hard about and are very much looking forward to — and I’m sure George is too.”
George’s participation in the role will also be groundbreaking, as the prince—who is second-in-line to the throne—will be the youngest future king to have an official role at a coronation, according to The Telegraph.
