Bucks maintain interest on Jae Crowder, finding third team to help complete trade with Suns
The Milwaukee Bucks have a consistent open interest in Jae Crowder, and they appear desperate to ultimately snag him away.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bucks are canvassing in the market and looking for a third team that can facilitate a trade with them alongside Phoenix Suns in order to complete a deal which will allow the veteran to land on their side.
Crowder, 32, remains away from the Suns lineup and patiently waiting for a trade to finally take place with four months having already passed. He reportedly turned down a bench role in the club for this season, with him being an expiring asset and will get paid over $10 million this year.
Milwaukee’s desire on Crowder can’t be more intensely enough. Bobby Portis is slated to miss at least two weeks due to an MCL sprain, which leaves the club a huge dent at their frontcourt.
By potentially having Crowder, the Bucks manage to add a splendid switchable wing and an enforcer at frontcourt, who also boasts a rich playoff experience that they can rely on when flexibility is at the table.
It remains yet to be seen when the Suns will finally pull the trigger in order to let Crowder go away. With a new owner in Mat Ishbia set to take over, they will definitely land a deal ahead of the trade deadline.
