‘WWHL’: Alyssa Farah Griffin Says Trump Wanted Kanye West To Do A Church Service On The White House Lawn “To Unify The Country”
Alyssa Farah Griffin has stories to tell. While appearing on Tuesday night’s (June 23) episode of Watch What Happens Live, The View co-host revealed one of the craziest ideas former president Donald Trump presented to her when she worked for his administration.
Griffin, who is a certified Bravoholic, was forced to briefly relive her days in the White House when a virtual fan asked her to dish on the “wildest thing” that she “still cannot believe” came across her desk when she worked as Trump’s special assistant.
“Oh, this is gonna be dark!” Griffin initially said.
“To be honest, one day he wanted to have Kanye West come and do a church service on the White House lawn to unify the country,” she continued. “And I could think of few things less unifying than that. We were like, ‘Not the time or place, sir.’”
While Griffin was hanging out in the Bravo Clubhouse, host Andy Cohen wanted her thoughts on all things White House — especially given the busy couple of weeks in American politics.
For starters, Cohen wanted to know what Griffin — who describes herself as a “Republican in exile” in her X (formerly known as Twitter) bio — thought of Trump choosing J.D. Vance as his running mate.
“Listen, J.D. Vance — he doesn’t add anything other than double down on Trump, and there’s already one Trump,” she said. “Why do we need a mini one?”
Griffin also compared Trump’s VP pick to “bringing Alexis [Bellino] back” to The Real Housewives of Orange County. “It’s the thing no one asked for,” she quipped.
Bellino made her grand return to Bravo in the RHOC Season 18 premiere as the new girlfriend of Shannon Beador‘s ex-boyfriend John Janssen. While Bellino did express her desire to move forward with Beador in a positive way (only after their heated confrontation), she hasn’t shied away from rubbing her new relationship in Beador’s face.
As for what Griffin thought about Bellino’s return, she told Cohen, “So messy! I’m a little skeptical. It’s fun, but are there not enough men in Orange County?”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
