On Friday evening, WNBA Legend Sue Bird was in attendance at Lumen Field in Seattle as the OL Reign took on the Chicago Red Stars to support her fiancée, Megan Rapinoe,” according to Attacking Third.

The Reign and the Red Stars would end in a two-two draw. According to the Seattle Times, Rapinoe had the chance to score the game-winning goal, but goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher saved.

“We should’ve won the game in the first half,” Reign coach Laura Harvey said. “The best save (Naeher) made was probably the last one. I don’t care what goalkeeper is in goal and I have a lot of respect for Alyssa, but some of the chances we had in the first half we should’ve scored.”

As for Bird, she saw her legendary career in heartbreaking fashion on Tuesday evening against the Las Vegas Aces 97-92 behind a stellar performance from A’Ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray.
