Emily is still torn between her feelings for Alfie and Gabriel, Camille is dating Gabriel while she has her eyes on someone new, and even Mindy is juggling two men: Benoît and a new character named Nicolas de Leon.

Who is Nicolas de Leon, Mindy’s New Love Interest on Emily in Paris?

Nicolas is essentially Emily in Paris‘ very own nepo baby. His father, Louis De Leon, is one of the wealthiest men in France and the owner of JVMA, a company that handles marketing for a bunch of luxury brands, including new client, Pierre Cadault. (Gasp!) Nicolas and Emily meet at one of Pierre’s events, and they bump into each other again on a sidewalk while Emily is standing outside a restaurant with Alfie and Mindy. Nicolas and Mindy recognize each other instantly and greet each other with a personalized handshake. It turns out they grew up together and met while attending boarding school in Switzerland.

Emily invites Nicolas to Alfie’s apartment warming party, and he attends with hopes of seeing Mindy again. It’s clear he’s interested in her romantically, despite the fact that she’s dating Benoît. But over the episodes, Mindy and Nicolas (who she used to call “Nacho”) hit it off while reminiscing about the past, and he shows a great interest in her music. Nicolas offers to buy the song Benoît wrote for her and use it in a commercial, but Benoît says no.

As Mindy and Nicolas grow closer and Benoît grows increasingly self conscious, he and Mindy eventually take a break. In Episode 7, Mindy and Nicolas finally go on a date together and decider to give a relationship a shot. Meanwhile, Emily and Nicolas butt heads over how best to work with Pierre Cadault, and after Emily and her colleagues publicly humiliate Nicolas and his dad to win Pierre back, he acts openly rude towards her.

In the Season 3 finale, Alfie tells Mindy that Nicolas made Emily leave her party, so Mindy hugs Emily, apologizes, and leaves to put her man in his place. Nicolas tells Mindy that it’s been hard to be around Emily after the stunt she pulled with Pierre, but Mindy reminds him that Emily is her family and gives him one more shot to prove himself at Camille and Gabriel’s engagement party. At the engagement party, Nicolas genuinely apologizes to Emily, so all is right between the trio…for now.

In the finale, Benoît also told Mindy that the song he wrote for her was accepted by the Eurovision song contest, so they’re headed to Eurovision and that setting seems ripe for more love triangle drama.

Who Plays Nicolas de Leon on Emily in Paris? Meet Paul Forman

As noted, Nicolas de Leon on Emily in Paris is played by actor and model Paul Forman. Per his IMDb page, Forman made his on-screen debut in 2018 and has appeared in several films and television series over the years. He’s best known for playing King Francis in The Spanish Princess, Stéphane in Frank of Ireland, and Luke in Riches.
