The New York Giants, under the regime of general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, have sought to improve the overall speed, strength, and athleticism of their roster.
With few exceptions, they’ve brought in players who rank highly on the Relative Athletic Score (RAS) scale. That was especially true during the 2024 NFL draft when they selected players who weren’t just among the top of the class, but a few who were near the top of the all-time scale.
Tight end Theo Johnson is the prime example of that, ranking ninth overall at his position since RAS tracking began in 1987.
