What we learned from New York Giants’ 27-20 loss to Dallas Cowboys
The Giants once led the NFL in sacks, as recently as Week 9. But since then, they’ve had issues getting to the passer. On Thursday, they did not record a sack for the third time in their last four games.
Dexter Lawrence leads the team with nine sacks, but he has not recorded a sack since Week 8 and the Giants have just one sack as a team over their last four games.
Things may stay this way for a while as Lawrence left Thursday’s game with a dislocated elbow and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari was placed on injured reserve (IR) last week.
Former first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux has just 2.0 sacks in his six games played and big-ticket addition Brian Burns has 6.0 sacks in 12 games and has the Giants’ only sack in the past month.
