By reading lips, Murray yelled four words toward Kingsbury. They were “calm the f*** down.”

On that very drive, the Cardinals were trailing 14-6. But, they were able to tie the game up on a two-yard touchdown run by Keontay Ingram and a successful two-point conversion on a run by Eno Benjamin. Then on New Orleans’ next two drives, Arizona scored two touchdowns in the form of pick sixes thrown by quarterback Andy Dalton.

The Cardinals ended up winning 42-34.

After the game, Murray downplayed the argument with Kingsbury, saying he was just telling him to “chill out.”

“He’s real animated over there on the sideline sometimes,” Murray said, h/t Doug Haller of The Athletic. “It’s … ‘Calm down, we’re good. We’re going to make it right.’ We ended up scoring, so that was good, but that’s all I was saying. Just chill out.”

Kingsbury also downplayed the heated interaction with his quarterback.

“It was just one of those things on the field. We had a difference of opinion,” Kingsbury said, h/t Grant Gordon of NFL.com. “Yeah, he said I didn’t look good on TV and acted kind of fiery. So, I don’t know. It’s the Gen-Z thing on TV, ‘calm down,’ but I like showing emotion.”

Murray completed 20-of-29 pass attempts for 204 yards and one touchdown, while running for 30 yards on seven carries.

The Cardinals walked away with the win, as they now prepare for a Week 8 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.
