Ange Postecoglou admits he is not sure he could follow the lead of Wolves boss Vitor Pereira and go for a post-match pint with supporters.
Pereira has made it a tradition that he shares a beer with fans after games – not difficult to do when you’re on a six-game winning streak – but with Tottenham mired in 16th place and on a run of one win in eight league games, Postecoglou says he may think twice.
“I’d have to be careful what pub I walked in to at the moment,” the Australian said.

Spurs one step from Europa League final
Winning the Europa League would provide some welcome respite with Spurs taking a giant step towards a place in the final – and a likely clash with Manchester United – with a 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their last-four tie last night.
And Postecoglou, whose popularity has waned as a difficult season has progressed, was full of praise for those who got behind his side against the Norwegians, adding: “Our fans were brilliant last night and throughout the whole European campaign.
“It does make a massive difference, I don’t think that early goal was by accident. They could feel the energy in the stadium.”
Postecoglou will ring the changes for Hammers clash
With the second leg to come next Thursday and with little to play for in the league, Postecoglou is set to make several changes for Sunday’s short trip to London rivals West Ham.
“Yeah, it’s likely,” he said. “I think it’s important for us because it’s a quick turn-around and we’ve had issues this year. At the same time it goes to show how important it is that the players that are playing are ready to go.
“We’ll make changes to make sure we put in a strong performance because we’re disappointed about last week [against Liverpool] and also to give some players a rest and get others up to speed because who knows what we’re going to need for next Thursday [at Bodo/Glimt].”
