Vivo X Fold 3 Tipped to Launch in India Soon, Said to Be Country’s Thinnest Foldable

Vivo X Fold 3 was recently launched in China alongside the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The base variant is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for wired fast charging. The base Vivo X Fold 3 is likely to launch in India soon, according to a 91Mobiles report, which adds that the model will be the “slimmest foldable in the industry.” Notably, when folded, the Vivo X Fold 3 is 10.2mm thick. The Indian variant of the handset is also likely to measure the same. The preceding Vivo X Fold 2, particularly the String Shadow Black (translated from Chinese) variant, measures 12.9mm in thickness when folded. 

In China, the Vivo X Fold 3 launched with an 8.03-inch 2K E7 AMOLED main display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with 1,172 x 2,748 pixels resolution and Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 inbuilt storage. The phone ships with Android 14-based OriginOS 4.

For optics, the Vivo X Fold 3 sports a triple rear camera unit which includes a 50-megapixel VCS bionic primary sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and another 50-megapixel portrait shooter. Both cover and main displays have one 32-megapixel selfie camera each. The phone is backed by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. When unfolded, the handset weighs 219g and measures 159.96mm x 142.69mm x 4.65mm. When folded it measures 159.96mm x 72.7mm x 10.2mm.

The Vivo X Fold 3 starts in China at CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB + 256GB option, while the 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 7,499 (roughly Rs. 87,800) and CNY 7,999 (Rs. 93,600), respectively. The top-of-the-line 16GB + 1TB version of the Vivo X Fold 3 is listed at CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs. 1,00,700). It is available in two colour options – Feather White and Thin Wing Black (translated from Chinese).

Vivo V40 SE 5G With Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 44W Wired Fast Charging Listed Online

Vivo V40 SE 5G has been listed online. The phone is listed to get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with wired fast charging support, a triple rear camera unit, and a full-HD+ AMOLED display. It is confirmed to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage, but the company did not reveal if the phone will be available in any other RAM and storage configurations. The handset is claimed to offer more than 16 hours of YouTube streaming time on a single charge.

The Vivo V40 SE 5G has been listed online in two colour options – Crystal Black and Leather Purple. It can be found on Vivo’s EU website as well as the Vivo Austria site. The price and the sale date of the model have not yet been announced.

The front camera, placed within the centred hole-punch slot at the top of the screen, holds a 16-megapixel sensor.

The Vivo V40 SE 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging which is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 50 percent within 25 minutes. The handset comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Vivo Pad 3 Pro With MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, Vivo TWS 4 Series Launched: Price, Specifications

Vivo Pad 3 Pro was launched on Tuesday (March 27) as the latest tablet from the Chinese smartphone maker. The new Android tablet arrives as the successor to last year’s Vivo Pad 2 and runs on MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9300 chipset. The Vivo Pad 3 Pro houses an 11,500mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. It supports Vivo Pencil 2 stylus and has an audio unit comprising eight speakers. Alongside the new tablet, the Chinese company also unveiled the Vivo TWS 4 series truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.

Price of Vivo Pad 3 Pro is set at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 46,000) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version and CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 41,500) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant. The 8GB RAM + 256GB model is priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 38,000), and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,500). It is available in Bo Xia Zi (purple), Cold Star Gray (gray), and Spring Tide Blue (blue) colour options and will go on sale starting April 3 in China.

The Vivo TWS 4 series is available in two variants. The base variant comes with a price tag of CNY 399 (roughly Rs. 4,600), whereas the Vivo TWS 4 Hi-Fi are priced at CNY 499 (roughly Rs. 5,500). They are offered in Dark Blue and Far Peak White shades.

The screen offers HDR10 support as well. Under the hood, the Vivo tablet has a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, along with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The tablet has a three-dimensional heat dissipation system with a 37,000mm square graphite heat sink.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Pad 3 Pro carries a 13-megapixel rear camera. There is also an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front. The tablet includes an audio system comprising eight speakers with support for audio formats including AAC, WAV, OGG, APE, and FLAC among others. The tablet supports input via Vivo Pencil 2 stylus and it can be connected to a keyboard case through magnetic pogo pins.

The Vivo Pad 3 Pro includes an array of connectivity options that include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB OTG, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It includes a colour temperature sensor, gravity sensor, light sensor, gyroscope and hall sensor. Besides, it packs an 11,500mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. The battery is said to deliver up to 70 days of standby time on a single charge. The tablet measures 289.56×198.32×6.64mm and weighs 678.9 grams.

Vivo TWS 4 series comprises the vanilla TWS 4 and TWS 4 Hi-Fi. The former supports LDAC, aptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC and LC3 codecs while the latter supports LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, AAC, SBC, and LC3 audio codecs. They have 12.2mm drivers and feature active noise cancelation (ANC) that is rated to reduce ambient noise by up to 55dB.

The TWS 4 features Qualcomm’s S3 Gen 2 sound platform, while the TWS 4 Hi-Fi runs on the S3 Gen 3 sound platform. Vivo X100s Design, Specifications Leaked via Alleged Google Play Console Listing

Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro have been available in India since January this year. Now, the Chinese smartphone brand is eyeing to add a new member — Vivo X100s — to the X100 family. While details about its launch date remain a mystery, the Vivo X100s’s design and specifications have leaked out, thanks to an alleged listing on the Google Play Console. The listing suggests that the phone could run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, and offer 16GB RAM with Android 14.

91Mobiles has discovered that the Vivo X100s has been listed on the Google Play Console platform with the codename PD2309. the listing suggests 16GB RAM and Android 14 operating system on the upcoming handset. It is listed with a MediaTek MT698 alongside Mali G720 GPU. This could be a reference to the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The vanilla Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro run on the same chipset.

As per the listing, the Vivo X100s will have a full-HD+ display with 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixel) resolution and 560ppi pixel density. The listing is accompanied by a photo of the phone. The image shows the handset in an orange shade with almost the same design as the Vivo X100. It appears to have a hole punch display.

The Vivo X100s has been in the rumour mill for quite some time now. It is expected to go official in China alongside the Vivo Pad 3 later this month or in April. It could offer upgrades over last year’s Vivo X90s.

Tipster Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) has leaked the RAM and storage variants of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro model alongside their prices via a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the image shared on the post, the phone will be priced at CNY 13,999 (roughly Rs. 1,61,700) for the 16GB + 512GB variant, while the higher 16GB + 1TB option is expected to be listed at CNY 14,999 (roughly Rs. 1,73,200) in China. Recently, the vanilla Vivo X Fold 3 has been tipped to be priced at CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs. 92,100).

Vivo has teased the Vivo X Fold 3 lineup previously in at least two colour options – black and white. A senior official said that the phones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is confirmed to sport an 8.03-inch Samsung E7 inner display.

The Vivo X Fold 3 series is claimed to flaunt the “Armor Feather” design language. A banner on the Vivo China website and a post on Weibo has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 3 series will be unveiled in China during an event on March 26 at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST) in Shanghai World Expo Center. The Vivo Watch 3, Vivo TWS 4, and Vivo Pad 3 Pro are also set to be introduced alongside the foldable smartphones.

The design of the Vivo X Fold 3 lineup has been teased in the launch date announcements. Vivo Vice President Jia Jingdong has also shared promotional images of the phones which suggests that the models will be available in at least two colour options – black and white.

The official has claimed that the Vivo X Fold 3 series phones will be the “thinnest and lightest” flagship foldable handsets yet and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Pro model will feature an 8.03-inch Samsung E7 display, Vivo’s V3 imaging chip, and a 50-megapixel Zeiss-backed camera, similar to the ones seen in the Vivo X100 lineup.

Vivo X Fold 3 series will be equipped with the “Armor Feather” design language for foldable smartphones. They are claimed to be the world’s first foldable to come with SGS five-star anti-drop certification. The models also have an IPX8 rating for splash resistance, the Vivo official confirmed. 

According to the company executive, the Vivo X Fold 3 handsets will carry “Blue Ocean” battery systems which is said to offer users a longer battery life. The phones are also said to be equipped with Vivo’s “Blue Heart” AI model.

Previous leaks have claimed that the Vivo X Fold 3 smartphones will be lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max models, which weigh 187g and 221g, respectively. The upcoming handsets are also likely to ship with Android 14-based OriginOS 4. For optics, they have been tipped to get a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a second 50-megapixel sensor with an ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope shooter, with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. They are expected to be backed by 5,500mAh batteries with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. 

The vanilla Vivo X Fold 3 has been tipped to be priced in China at CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs. 92,100), while the Pro model may start at CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs. 1,15,100).

Vivo Pad 3 Alleged Geekbench Listing Suggests MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, 16GB RAM

Vivo Pad 3 has allegedly been spotted on the Geekbench website which suggests the Android tablet could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The listing shared a couple more possible specifications of the rumoured tablet including Android 14 operating system and 16GB of onboard memory. The Vivo Pad 3 is expected to launch alongside the Vivo X Fold 3. It is believed to come as as successor to last year’s Vivo Pad 2.

A Vivo tablet with model number PA2473 has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website and this model number is believed to belong to the upcoming Vivo Pad 3. The listing shows 16GB of RAM and Android 14 operating system on the tablet. It has scored 2,223 in single-core and 7,547 in multi-core tests.

As per the listing, the Vivo Pad 3 has a processor with a prime CPU frequency of 3.25GHz. Three cores are capped at 2.85GHz while four cores are capped at 2.00GHz. These CPU speeds are associated with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.

The presence of 16GB RAM and Dimensity 9300 SoC would be notable upgrades over last year’s Vivo Pad 2. The predecessor had a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC under the hood and featured a maximum 12GB of RAM.

Vivo Pad 2 was launched with a starting price of CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 29,800) for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.

It runs on Android 13-based OriginOS 3 and has a 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It packs a 13-megapixel primary rear camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8-megapixel front camera. The tablet is backed by a 10,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging

Vivo T3 5G India Launch Date Set for Next Week; Teased to Run on MediaTek Dimensity Processor

Vivo T3 5G will launch in India next week, the Chinese smartphone brand confirmed on Friday (March 15). It is confirmed to be sold via Flipkart in the country. The e-commerce website is teasing the arrival of new T-series smartphone via a dedicated microsite on its India website. The Vivo T3 5G is confirmed to run on a MediaTek Dimensity series processor. It will also include a dual stereo speaker setup. The Vivo T3 5G is expected to come as the successor to last year’s Vivo T2.

The launch of Vivo T3 5G will take place on March 21 at 12:00pm IST, Vivo announced through a media invite. Additionally, Flipkart has set up a new microsite for the handset revealing its design and specifications. It is confirmed to run on a MediaTek Dimensity series processor. Vivo didn’t disclose the exact model, but it is speculated to be a Dimensity 7200 SoC.

Vivo T3 5G will be available in a blue shade and it is shown to have a triple rear camera setup alongside an LED flash. The camera unit is teased to include a Sony sensor with support for optical image stabilisation.

The Vivo T3 5G is expected to be priced around Rs. 20,000 in the country. It could be offered in crystal flake and cosmic blue shades.

As per a past leak, the Vivo T3 5G will sport a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. It is tipped to come in 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage options. The phone could offer virtual RAM support as well.

It is tipped to feature a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 lens, a 2-megapixel bokeh lens, and a flicker sensor. On the front, it is likely to get a 16-megapixel shooter. The Vivo T3 is said to house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging. It could also have an IP54 rated water and dust resistance build.
