Both variants are currently available for pre-reservations in China in Magic Night Black, Racing Black, and Titanium Empty Silver (translated) colour options via the Honor Mall website. It will go on sale later this month.

Details regarding the global availability and pricing of the new Honor X40 GT are yet to be revealed.

Honor X40 GT specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor X40 GT runs on Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 and features a 6.81-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display has narrow bezels and a hole punch cutout to house the selfie shooter. The new Honor handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The inbuilt memory can be virtually extended to an additional 7GB by utilising unused storage. It comes with Honor’s GPU Turbo X graphics acceleration engine. Further, there is a 13-layer VC liquid cooling system with an eight-layer graphite cooling pad for heat dissipation during gaming sessions.

For optics, Honor X40 GT features a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The rear cameras are arranged in a large ring along with LED flash as well as GT branding. For selfies, Honor has provided a 16-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. The handset offers up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Connectivity options on Honor X40 GT include 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and USB Type-C port. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The phone packs a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.

Honor X40 series is set to launch in China on September 15, the company announced on Tuesday. Aside from the launch date, the company is yet to reveal other details about the upcoming smartphones, including their specifications and pricing. Back in October last year, the company launched the Honor X30 Max and Honor X30i, powered by MediaTek Dimensity SoCs. To recall, the Honor X30 Max sports a 7.09-inch display with full-HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a water drop-style notch to house the selfie camera.

The Shenzhen-based smartphone brand announced via Chinese microblogging website Weibo that the Honor X40 series will debut in China, on September 15. The teaser poster shared by Honor suggests that the Honor X40 series could feature 5G connectivity. The company is yet to reveal the pricing details of the upcoming smartphone handsets in the Honor X40 series.

To recall, the company launched the Honor X30 Max and Honor X30i smartphones in China in October 2021.

On the other hand, the Honor X30i sports a 6.7-inch display with full-HD+ (1,080×2,388 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a hole-punch cutout that houses the selfie camera. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It sports a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The handset packs a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.

Honor Magicbook 14 Ryzen Edition, Earbuds X3, X3i Launched: All the Details

Honor Pad 8 tablet was launched at an event in China on Friday. The event also saw Honor unveiling a new Magicbook 14 laptop with 6000H chips, Earbuds X3 with active noise cancellation and a less expensive X3i model without ANC, five TVs, and an intelligent neck massager.

The 14-inch screen on the Honor Magicbook 14 features a 3:2 aspect ratio and a QHD+ resolution. It boasts 185 ppi, 170 degrees of view, and 300 nits of brightness. A Ryzen 5 6600H or a Ryzen 7 6800H APU can be used as the APU; however, discrete GPU choices are not available.

Windows 11, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 75Wh battery are included in the device. Prices for the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 versions are CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 61,492) and CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 67,400), respectively.

The Earbuds X3 and Earbuds X3i are the names of the new TWS audio wearables, with the former having active noise cancellation (ANC). Honor does not provide many details regarding these gadgets.

However, the Earbud X3 are a somewhat less expensive version of the Earbuds 3 Pro that we previously evaluated, and the X3i, which costs CNY 129 (roughly Rs. 1,500), is simply a low-end audio accessory.

The latest Honor TVs had the model number X3 as well. There are two Honor Smart TV models: the X3 (55″ and 65″) and the X3i (55″, 65″, and 75″), the latter of which has fewer intelligent features.

Prices start at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 20,000). Priced at CNY 179 (roughly Rs. 2,000), the Honor Smart Neck Massager has pre-set modes that can be changed via Honor’s AI app.

For optics, the Honor X40i comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera sensor paired with f/1.8 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field camera with f/2.4 aperture lens. The camera comes with an LED flash and it is said to offer 10x digital zoom. On the front is an 8-megapixel sensor paired with f/2.0 aperture lens.

The Honor X40i comes with up to 256GB storage. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, AGPS, Beidou, Glonass, and USB Type-C port. Honor MagicBook 14 2022 Edition and MagicBook 14 2022 Independent Graphics Edition laptops have been launched in China. Both the machines are similar to each other in terms of design and specifications. The difference comes in terms of processor and graphics as well as time taken to fully charge the battery. Both the models come with 14-inch displays, 12th generation Intel Core processors, and are claimed to offer up to 20 hours of battery life. For security, both the models come with fingerprint sensors embedded in the power button.

Honor MagicBook 14 2022 price

The vanilla Honor MagicBook 14 2022 price is set at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 63,000) for the Core i5 model, and CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 65,300) for the Core i7 model. The Honor MagicBook 14 2022 Independent Graphics Edition with Core i5 CPU and Nvidia GeForce MX550 GPU is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 68,700), and the one with the Core i5 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 GPU is priced at CNY 6499 (roughly Rs. 74,400). The Honor laptops are available for pre-orders in Glacier Silver and Starry Grey colours. Shipments will start from May 19.

Honor MagicBook 14 2022 specifications

Honor MagicBook 14 2022 notebooks come with a 14-inch 2.1K (2,560×1,440 pixels) display with 300 nits peak brightness that offers a wide viewing angle of 170 degrees. Under the hood, the vanilla model comes with an option to choose from the 12th generation Intel Core i5-12500H processor or the 12th generation Intel Core i7-12650H processor. The Honor MagicBook 14 2022 Independent Graphics Edition is offered with just the 12th generation Intel Core i5-12500H processor option.

The laptops come with two USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, three USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo.
