Stephen A. Smith: Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley shouldn’t get rings if Lakers win title
Patrick Beverley recently revealed on his podcast that he had a conversation with Russell Westbrook in which both players expressed desire to get rings if the Lakers win the championship this year.
The two point guard were moved by the Lakers just before the trade deadline and finished the season on other teams – the Bulls and the Clippers respectively.
Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith thinks neither Beverley nor Westbrook should get rings from that the Purple and Gold because the team got better without them.
“Hell no [they don’t deserve rings]. Are you kidding me? …,” Smith said on First Take, via ClutchPoints. “I got mad love for Patrick Beverley… Russell Westbrook, mad respect for him… The reality is that the Lakers are better without you than they were with you.”
