Earlier on Wednesday, users began to report issues with the streaming service, with over 20,000 users reporting issues at the peak of the disruption on Downdetector.com, a website that tracks downtime for applications and services on the Web. On Downdetector.in, around 852 users reported that they were unable to access the service for about an hour.
Spotify quickly acknowledged the user reports minutes after the service began to receive complaints from users, stating that the company was looking into the issues. About half an hour later, the service tweeted that access to Spotify had been restored, asking users to report any issues to its customer service account on Twitter.
