Austin Reaves has not only earned himself a roster spot on the Lakers after going undrafted in 2021, but he has become a key player for the team.

In his sophomore year, the 24-year-old shooting guard is a starter for Los Angeles and his role remains important in the playoffs.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the most that the Lakers can offer for Reaves who will become a restricted free agent this summer is 4-year deal at around $53 million.

Charania thinks that the Purple and Gold should be concerned because there are teams that might be willing to offer significantly more for the player.

“I think there is a concern for sure if you’re the Lakers that he’s gonna get potentially an offer sheet way, way, way higher than 50 [million],” he said on FanDuel TV.

According to Spotrac, Reaves is set to make around $1.5 million this season. Last year his salary was just under $1 million.

Reaves averaged 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 28.8 minutes per game during the regular season. His playoff numbers are even higher – 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 35.1 minutes per game.
