He’s the disgraced prince.

Michael Sheen, 55, transformed into the notorious Prince Andrew in the first look at Prime Video’s series “A Very Royal Scandal.”

Sheen is no stranger to playing all types of characters, from angels (“Good Omens”) to serial killers (“Prodigal Son”), and now the Welsh star will play the disgraced British royal.

The series will dramatize Prince Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis (played by Ruth Wilson, “The Affair.”).

Per Prime Video’s description, “One night. One hour. One interview that sent shockwaves around the globe. Based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew over the scandalous accusations he faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre.”

The official plot summary continued, “A Very Royal Scandal’ follows the action of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview, the ground-breaking event itself and the many questions left in its wake that would change their lives forever.”

During the notorious real-life interview, the BBC anchor and her team pressed the Duke of York, now 64, about his alleged relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (who died of apparent suicide earlier that year).

She also pressed Prince Andrew about Giuffre’s sex abuse allegations, which he denied (and in 2022, they settled her lawsuit out of court).

At the time, Prince Andrew defended his choice to stay in a convicted sex offender’s home when he visited New York because he famously – and bizarrely – said that Epstein’s digs were “a convenient place to stay.”

The disastrous interview led to Prince Andrew getting fired from official royal duties by his mom, Queen Elizabeth II.

“It was a devastating moment for both of them. His reputation is in tatters,” a source told The Sun at the time, referring to the overwhelming backlash.

The interview was also dramatized in the April Netflix movie “Scoop,” starring Rufus Sewell as Prince Andrew and Gillian Anderson as Emily Maitlis.

The cast of “A Very Royal Scandal” also includes Joanna Scanlan (“After Love”) as Andrew’s private secretary Amanda Thirsk, Eanna Hardwicke as “Newsnight” deputy editor Stewart, Alexander Owen (“Dreaming Whilst Black”) as investigations producer Jake Morris, Sam Troughton as Queen Elizabeth II’s communications secretary Donal McCabe, Claire Rushbrook as Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and Clare Calbraith as “Newsnight” booker Sam Mcalister.

The real Maitlis exec produces the show, which is part of an anthology series that also included  “A Very English Scandal” (which starred Hugh Grant as a politician arranging his lover’s murder) and “A Very British Scandal” (which starred Paul Bettany and Claire Foy and covered the divorce of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll).

“A Very Royal Scandal” will premiere Sept. 19 on Prime Video.
