Masters champion Rory McIlroy clearly wasn’t pleased when the horn sounded to suspend play Saturday at the PGA Championship.
McIlroy, who completed his career Grand Slam last month with his first Green Jacket at Augusta, was headed to the first tee Saturday morning at Quail Hollow in Charlotte when play was suspended due to dangerous weather.
McIlory was caught by TV cameras dropping his head, smiling and appearing to mutter “F–k off” when his scheduled 8:25 a.m. tee time was postponed.
The 36-year-old Northern Irishman barely survived Friday’s cut at 1-over par for the first two rounds, nine shots behind midway leader Jhonattan Vegas.

Play resumed at 11:43 a.m. ET with amended three-man groups to conserve time, but McIlory wasn’t slated to start his third round until nearly 2 p.m.
He started Saturday on the 10th hole with Chris Kirk and Xander Schauffele.
