The Houston Rockets have made a significant trade, sending guard Kevin Porter Jr. and two future second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder, as reported by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

In return, the Thunder are trading Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to the Rockets.

This transaction carries additional layers, as the Thunder are waiving Porter Jr. immediately after acquiring him. The Rockets’ trade package also includes a 2027 second-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves and a 2028 second-round pick from the Milwaukee Bucks.

Porter Jr. has been facing assault charges stemming from an incident with his girlfriend. The Thunder will need to pay the $16.9 million guaranteed remaining on his contract as they waive him.

The trade allows the Thunder to gather additional future draft picks, adding to their already extensive collection of first and second-round picks over the next several years.
