Randy Moss’ son, Thaddeus, debunked reports that his father has been diagnosed with liver cancer.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr., father of former Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald, and Brett Favre both tweeted Tuesday that the elder Moss had been diagnosed with the disease.

Randy recently stepped away from his ESPN “Sunday NFL Countdown” duties for undisclosed health reasons.

“This is disgusting,” Thaddeus tweeted to Fitzgerald. Sr. “You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you , so check your f–king sources.”

Thaddeus wrote to Favre on X: “Brett , the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to.”

Many have been offering prayers and support for Randy after he revealed on Dec. 1 that he was “battling something internally.”

The NFL Hall of Famer did not reveal details, although the 47-year-old urged individuals to undergo blood testing and check-up.

“I just wanted to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally,” Moss said during “Sunday NFL Countdown” on ESPN. “I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys. I feel great.

“But if y’all see me with these Michigan turnover glasses that I have on, it’s not being disrespectful because I’m on television, man. I’m battling something. I need all the prayer warriors.”

ESPN then announced last Friday that Moss would be away “for an extended time to focus on a personal health challenge.”

Fitzgerald Sr., who serves as a reporter in the Minnesota area, posted Tuesday night that he heard Randy had been diagnosed with liver cancer.

“66th NFF Hall of of Fame Ceremony here in Las Vegas just heard that Vikings HOF Randy Moss has liver cancer.Let’s show the power of prayer and pull Moss through this.🙏🙏🙏.I love you Randy,” he posted at 9:39 p.m.

His son, a 2024 National Football Foundation Hall of Fame inductee, allegedly told his father he was wrong to share that information but has since deleted the tweet.

“Dad, I think it’s best to respect his privacy on this,’ Larry Jr. allegedly wrote, per screen grabs on X. “If he feels ready to share more about his health, he will. In the meantime, let’s focus on sending him positive energy, prayers, and support rather than speculating.”

That news reached Favre, who played with Randy in Minnesota, and he originally posted on X: “Just heard the news that Randy Moss has liver cancer. Prayers to him and his family.🙏Randy is and will always be one of the all time greats to ever run a route. Definitely on the NFL WR Mt. Rushmore.”

However, 16 minutes after Thaddeus tweeted him, he changed his message.

“Prayers to Randy Moss and his family.🙏,” Favre posted. “Randy is and will always be one of the all time greats to ever run a route. Definitely on the NFL WR Mt. Rushmore.”

Favre responded to Thaddeus’ tweet with a praying hands emoji, which elicited a “thank you” for the younger Moss.

Thadeus, 26, spent time with the Bengals and Commanders in his career, though he never appeared in an NFL game after he starred at LSU. He announced on X in May that he had retired.

His father served as one of the NFL’s greatest receivers, a human highlight reel who could score from anywhere on the field at any time. He tallied 156 receiving touchdowns in his 14-season career.
