Radek Vitek concedes four goals as Accrington Stanley are destroyed by Doncaster – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s on-loan goalkeeper Radek Vitek endured a game to forget as he and Accrington Stanley suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss at the hands of Doncaster.

Accrington Stanley made their way to the Eco-Power Stadium keen on building on their previous 3-1 win against Newport County but unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan for John Doolan’s men.

Goals from Doncaster’s Hakeeb Adelakun, Joe Ironside, James Maxwell and Owen Bailey ultimately sunk Accrington.

Accrington found chances hard to come by, with only Alex Henderson managing to challenge Rovers’ keeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala in the opening 45 minutes.

This trend carried on into the second half as Doncaster extended their dominance over proceedings.

The result has left Vitek’s side in 18th position in the League Two standings with 54 points amassed after 43 matches played.

While between the sticks for the 90 minutes of action, Vitek registered four saves, all of which came from inside the box.

The 20-year-old made one crucial punch to keep Doncaster from adding to their goal tally.

Vitek was not required to make a high claim or dash out of his line to initiate sweeping action.

The Czech Republic international registered a total of 49 passes. He attempted 37 passes and found his teammates with 20 of them, managing a personal pass completion rate of 54%.

The shot-stopper went long 21 times – evidence of just how much pressure they faced from Doncaster who were relentless in their approach.

Out of the 21 long balls he pinged, Vitek found an Accrington teammate on just four occasions.

The United loanee also made one clearance.

There will be no time for Vitek and Accrington to lick their wounds and feel sad for themselves. They return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face third-placed Mansfield. It promises to be yet another hard task for the club.
