Power of The Doctor’ on BBC America? How to Watch Online
The Master, Daleks, and Cybermen, oh my! All good things must come to an end – and that includes the era of the Thirteenth Doctor. Jodie Whittaker made history as the first female Doctor in the show’s long-running history, and now her run is almost over. Whittaker has played the role of the galaxy traveling Time Lord since 2018, and the next lead of Doctor Who will next be Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa, the first Black actor to play the role. Perhaps we’ll get a glimpse of him at the end, as Whittaker changes into her new form?
Before the regeneration, though, we have the Thirteenth Doctor’s finale showdown to look forward to, in the epic finale Doctor Who: The Power of The Doctor. What better way to round out spooky season then saying goodbye to our beloved time-traveling scientist? Here’s what you need to know about how to watch the Doctor Who special:
When Will Doctor Who: Power of The Doctor Premiere?
The special episode will air Sunday, October 23 at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America in the Unites States. For U.K. audiences, it will air same day on BBC One at 7:30 p.m. local time, which will be about 2:30pm on the East Coast. Though American fans will get the show a little later than the U.K., it gives the whole day to prepare to say goodbye to the Thirteenth Doctor, and settle in for the whopping 90 minutes of a finale.
How to Watch Doctor Who: Power of The Doctor on BBC America:
BBC America in included in most cable subscriptions or can easily be bought separately. Your TV will have the channel set up, or you can go to the BBC America website, sign in with your cable login, and watch there. Information can also be found on the Doctor Who website. The special will also be available on AMC+ the same day. To prepare for the finale, older episodes can also be streamed on HBO Max.

Other than the Daleks and Cybermen, Jodie Whittaker is, of course, gracing our screens one last time, as well as Mandip Gill as Yasmin, John Bishop as Dan, Sophie Aldred as Ace, Janet Fielding as Tegan, and Sacha Dhawan as The Master.
