Philly radio host threatens to retire if Eagles draft this 1 player

94 WIP’s Howard Eskin in Philadelphia says if the Eagles use their 10th overall pick in the NFL Draft on this prospect, he will retire.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in an incredible position. Not only did they fall just short of winning Super Bowl 57, maintain their top two cornerbacks and signed quarterback Jalen Hurts to a long-term contract extension, but they also hold the 10th overall pick. That is thanks in part to their trade with the New Orleans Saints last year where they exchanged draft picks. With that, the Eagles get to add a difference maker and impact player to their already impressive roster.

Well, there is one prospect who 94 WIP’s Howard Eskin does not want the Eagles to draft on Thursday night.

During an appearance on the “Marks and Reese” show with Jon Marks and Ike Reese on Wednesday, Eskin declared that if the Eagles use the 10th overall pick on Texas running back Bijan Robinson, he’ll retire.

Philadelphia sports radio host threatens to retire if Eagles draft Bijan Robinson at No. 10

There is an overwhelming belief in the NFL world right now that teams should not select a running back early in the first round, especially in the Top 10. The thing is, Robinson is a legitimate stud player who can easily improve the running game of whichever team he’s on. Not only that, but he can make an impact in the passing game as well. Not to mention he is considered one of the best all-around athletes in this entire draft class.

This past season at Texas, Robinson ran for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns on 258 carries, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. Robinson also caught 19 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns.

In his three years, Robinson ran for 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns on 539 carries, while catching 60 passes for 805 yards and eight touchdowns.

The recent buzz is that Robinson could go as high as No. 8 to the Atlanta Falcons in the first round. But, if he doesn’t and he’s on the board for the Eagles at No. 10, it would be quite the move if they were to select him. Imagine adding Robinson to an offense containing Hurts, wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and that offensive line? That could spell trouble for opposing defenses, even if Eskin would not on board with the decision.
