PFF grades for all 32 NFL teams’ (including Giants) starting QBs

The New York Giants attempted to trade up in the 2024 NFL draft for quarterback Drake Maye, but those efforts fell short. Even if they hadn’t, general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll still intended to enter the 2024 regular season with Daniel Jones as their starter.

The free agent signing of Drew Lock also didn’t change that. So long as he’s ready to play come Week 1, Jones will be under center for the Giants and will remain there pending another injury.

But the clock is ticking. Schoen may still believe in DJ but recognizes that a pivot point may be coming. Jones needs to return to 2022 form this season or risk being shown the door in 2025.

Ahead of Jones’ sixth season, we’re taking a look at his Pro Football Focus grade from 2023 and how it stacked up against the other 2024 projected starting quarterbacks around the NFL.
