Pacers Center Myles Turner ‘Numb’ to Trade Rumors

Entering his fifth offseason with trade rumors swirling, Pacers center Myles Turner has gotten used to the rumors at this point.

“This is my fifth offseason with trade rumors going on,” Turner said per Hoops Wire. “‘He’s going to land here; he’s going to do this. He going to do that.’ I am finally numb to it, in a sense. So that’s another thing that I was proud of myself for as well. I was able to immerse myself in the experience of Africa as opposed to my own personal life or my own selfish reasons.”

Turner had been previously linked to the Hornets and Cavaliers, and he was also caught up in a debate about whether the team should keep him or Domantas Sabonis.

“The way I’m perceiving everything now, my outlook is I’m in great shape right now,” he said, “I’ve worked my way back for my injuries. And just carry myself as a professional as I always have. Whether that’s in [Pacers] training camp or whether that’s a training camp somewhere else, I’m going to go and be myself.”

Turner’s focus remains on the court, regardless of who he suits up for this year. He played in only 42 games this year, averaging 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 rejections before a foot injury stopped all that.
