Nuggets withheld young talent in Paul George talks
The Denver Nuggets reportedly explored a trade for Paul George this offseason but were unwilling to include young talents Christian Braun, Julian Strawther, or Peyton Watson in any deal, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
League sources indicated that while Denver expressed interest in George, negotiations stalled early due to the Nuggets’ reluctance to part with these emerging players.
The Clippers, on their end, weren’t interested in a trade package that primarily involved future salary obligations, which would likely have included the $147 million contract of Michael Porter Jr.
