Next Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update Adds New Suits — Check Them Out

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set for a new update on June 18 that adds a number of suits to the game.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza revealed eight new suits are set for the PlayStation 5 exclusive with the release of patch 1.003.000. The suits include some new designs and some that return from previous games.

Meanwhile, the update also “addresses some community feedback” and adds stability improvements to the game. This includes the ability to swap out your parry and traversal abilities from the Symbiote to Spider Arms, and vice versa.

Four new suits were created in partnership with Colm Dillane, AKA KidSuper, Vini Jr, Lando Norris, and Rina Sawayama. Yes, even Brazilian footballers are designing Spider-Man suits these days. There’s even a comment from Real Madrid forward Vini Jr, who co-developed the Ginga Suit for Miles Morales:

“I wanted it to be a celebration of Brazil’s culture and people. I just love the overall design because it has the energy and action that I associate Spider-Man with, but it’s beautifully mixed with some Brazilian flair. Which makes this suit super special and different from others.”

The returning suits are from Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. These four suits are being “retrofitted” for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, including two for Peter and two for Miles, Insomniac said. One is the Into The Spider-Verse suit for Peter Parker, another Miles Morales’ Animated suit. Check them out in the slideshow of images below:

In March, a Spider-Man 2 update appeared to accidentally reveal an upcoming expansion. After the release of Spider-Man 2 patch 1.002.000, which added New Game+, new suits, and more, players discovered they were able to access a development game menu that unlocked settings for items, enemies, and health. Insomniac subsequently issued a warning to players, saying those who used the menu could face corrupted save data and trophy progress.
