New York Giants QB Drew Lock, RB Tyrone Tracy return to practice

The New York Giants are preparing for their joint practice with the Jets in Florham Park on Wednesday but not before they were out on the field at their own facility on Tuesday.

Head coach Brian Daboll updated the media on the rather long list of injured players before Tuesday’s practice.

In addition to the list above, Leonard reported that rookie running back Dante Miller has returned to practice but will be limited, and defensive back David Long Jr. is still out.

Quarterback Drew Lock (hip) and rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle) also returned to practice for the first time since their respective injuries.

“He’s good,” head coach Brian Daboll said of Tracy.

The real concerns here are the week-to-week players: Micah McFadden, Matthew Adams, Gunner Olszewski, and Lawrence Cager. McFadden is a starter but the other three could end up not being on the 53-man roster come next Tuesday’s cutdown deadline.

The others are all being held out or limited as a precaution.

It looks like many are being held out or limited to prevent further injury and will be available by the Giants’ regular season opener versus Minnesota on September 8.
