New York Giants OL Jermaine Eluemunor slams Malik Nabers critic
The emergence of New York Giants first-round pick Malik Nabers has been exciting to watch over the first four games of his young career.
Unfortunately, with the team at 1-3, Nabers may be the bulk of the excitement as the season continues for the Giants.
However, a couple of drops over the past three weeks have given a few the ammo needed to disparage Nabers’ performance in the most crucial parts of the game.
Recently, New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson jumped to the defense of Nabers on X. Then, on Sunday, Nabers’ teammate, offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor, took a separate perceived critic head-on.

In Nabers’ first breakout game back in Week 2, he had a crucial drop on fourth down of the final drive. Nobody was harder on the rookie than himself, expressing regret for letting his teammates down — especially the veterans.
Nabers also failed to hang onto a fourth-down pass in a Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, although that was not officially deemed a drop. The rookie also suffered a concussion on the play as he tried to keep his feet in bounds.
Eluemunor not only belittled the account that questioned his teammate’s “clutch gene” but also made quite the statement calling Nabers a top-5 receiver in the NFL.
In a league with so many great players at wide receiver position, that’s quite high praise for Nabers.
It’s going to take a bigger sample size for Nabers to solidify himself as one of the league’s best at his position but he’s certainly off to quite the hot start.
