The New York Giants hold the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft and are in the market for a quarterback.

That does not necessarily mean they use that pick on one but are doing their due diligence nonetheless.

On Friday, Giants head coach Brian Daboll was down in Arlington, Texas, the site of next week’s East-West Shrine Bowl, to get an upfront look at some of this year’s top prospects and reportedly met with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders is expected to be one of the top two quarterbacks taken in this year’s draft along with Miami’s Cam Ward.

Sanders also met with the Tennessee Titans on Friday. The Titans have the first pick in the draft followed by the Cleveland Browns and then the Giants.

This past week, Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker said at a press conference that his team “won’t pass on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL draft…We won’t do that.”

Neither Sanders nor Ward are considered to be “generational” talents. Many believe Brinker was referring to Colorado cornerback Travis Hunter, the Heisman Trophy winner, who can play on both defense and offense.

That could just be a ruse, but if it is not, it would put the Giants in a position to take Sanders or Ward, whoever Cleveland passes on.
