Monaco got the road win over ASVEL
Despite the absence of Kemba Walker and Jordan Loyd, Monaco secured their inaugural significant victory in the French Betclic Elite against LDLC ASVEL.
Mike James, scoring 21 points, and Elie Okobo, contributing 19, orchestrated a well-balanced effort for the Monegasques.
Alpha Diallo (16 points) and Donatas Motiejunas (15 points) also played pivotal roles in Monaco’s triumph, finishing the game with an 87-79 win.
In the final two minutes, Monaco executed a 9-2 run, establishing an 87-76 lead. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot’s three-pointer sealed the final score.
On the opposing side, Joffrey Lauvergne led with 21 points, while Nando De Colo added 15 points, and former Monaco and Panathinaikos guard Paris Lee contributed 14 points.
