Mike Brown on Domantas Sabonis: “How do you get 30 [points] on 12 shots? That’s ridiculous”
Domantas Sabonis was close to a triple-double as he scored 30 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 10 assists as the Kings defeated the Wizards 132-118.
The 26-year-old Lithuanian forward, who became an All-Star for the third time in his career this season, needed just 12 shots to get to 30 points.
Sacramento’s head coach Mike Brown was amazed by the efficiency of his player and again said that Sabonis is an All-NBA player.
“What can you say about Domas? He’s getting hit in the head and knocked to the ground and he just keeps coming and coming and coming,” Brown said. “He has 30 and 9 and 9. Extremely efficient on 12 shots… how do you get 30 on 12 shots? That’s ridiculous.
“But again, got to keep constantly reminding guys that he’s an All-NBA guy. And tonight in a win when het got 30, 9 and 9 on 12 shots, it’s just a reminder that he’s that guy.”
This season Sabonis is averaging 19 points, 12.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.
