Meghan Markle is ready to let the games begin.
The Mahjong games, that is. All eight episodes of her new series, With Love, Meghan, released on Netflix March 4, and while in it she shares glimpses of her life with Prince Harry and their kids Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, she details her bonds with her friends and their penchant for game nights.
“My girlfriends are coming over, we have all started to learn mahjong together in the past few months,” Meghan, 43, said in episode six of the series. “We play a version called American mahjong.”
The Suits alum continued, “What I’ve come to really love about mahjong is that the game itself is really fun, but what was so great was the idea of learning something new with your friends, together.”
Connection is at the root of With Love, Meghan, as the Duchess of Sussex invites friends over in each episode to cook, eat and enjoy—and mahjong has become just one more avenue for Meghan to strengthen her relationships. As she put it, a game like mahjong “becomes the background of the expansion of friendship.”
