Meghan Markle Appears, Dressed Casually, In Friend’s Sweet Mother’s Day Tribute

On Friday, ahead of mother’s day weekend, Meghan Markle’s friend and colleague Kelly McKee Zajfen posted a sweet photo in a tribute to the Duchess of Sussex and mothers everywhere. Zajfen is the co-founder of Alliance of Moms, an organization that works to support pregnant and parenting moms in the Los Angeles foster care system.

Meghan has been supporting one of their newest campaigns, and in the candid shot she is wearing a t-shirt with the Community of Motherhood logo on it while smiling warmly at Zajfen, a casual cardigan tied around her shoulders.

In the caption, the co-founder gushed about Meghan’s work with the organization and more than that, her own relationship to motherhood.

“As Mother’s Day approaches, I can’t help but think of my own #commUNITY of Motherhood,” she wrote. “I instantly think of you Meg. How incredibly nurturing and warm and open you are. What an incredible friend and mother. I’m truly in awe of you and I am so grateful you are part of my #CommUNITYofmotherhood.”

She continued, “You are always the first to say yes and support those you love. You are a fierce advocate for those who are in need. Thank you for joining this year’s campaign to support LA’s expectant and parenting foster youth, which helps provide critical services, education, resources and advocacy so they can build a better future for themselves and their families.”

Meghan will be celebrating Mother’s Day as the mom of two children, her son Archie and daughter Lilibet, shared with her husband Prince Harry. On her first Mother’s Day with Archie, she share a glimpse of his foot over a lawn of Princess Diana’s favorite flowers, forget-me-nots. The Duchess made sure to pay tribute to her husband’s late mother in her caption.

“Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered,” she wrote. “We honour and celebrate each and every one of you.”
