Marcus Morris and the Knicks sign a deal

The New York Knicks signed forward Marcus Morris to an Exhibit 9 contract, a deal that is fully non-guaranteed unless he secures a spot on the Knicks’ opening night roster.

This move offers the Knicks flexibility while giving Morris a chance to earn a role with the team during training camp and preseason.

Morris, a 13-year NBA veteran, spent last season split between the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Across both teams, Morris averaged 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 16.7 minutes per game, contributing as a solid bench piece.
