Marcelo Brozovic is a top target for Juventus but Manchester United remain in the race – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have been struck with another mini-injury crisis, this time in midfield, with Champions League qualification in the balance.
Scott McTominay continues to remain sidelined while loan signing Marcel Sabitzer has been ruled out for the season. Donny van de Beek continues to be missing as well.
This means Erik ten Hag’s only options are playing Casemiro and Christian Eriksen together while Fred can come on if necessary.
United’s midfield woes
While the Brazilian and Dane have been an upgrade on the much-maligned McFred pairing, both have not been at the top of their game recently.
The former Real Madrid man has looked tired, which is natural considering the games United have played this season. As for Eriksen, he has not had the same impact off-the-ball as he was having pre-injury.
This once again highlights the Red Devils’ need to strengthen in the middle of the park again this summer. And Fichajes have linked United with a surprising new name.
The outlet says that Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic is a top target for Juventus but United and Paris Saint-Germain are also lurking.
“Juventus Turin has been closely following the situation of Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic for some time, who, despite recently renewing his contract with Inter Milan, has been in the crosshairs of the Vecchia Signora for some time.
“Juventus, however, is not the only team interested in the signing of Marcelo Brozovic for next season, since teams like Manchester United or PSG would also look for the arrival of the Balkan midfielder.”
Brozovic to Juventus could be hijacked by United
The Croatian has hit form for the Nerazzurri at the right time, as they are firmly in the race to qualify for next season’s Champions League and are also one step away from being in this season’s final.
The 30-year-old has made 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and assisting a further four. He can play all across the midfield but is most adept as the defensive pivot.
His passing remains quality as he is in the top 97 percentile for passes attempted and 94 percentile in terms of pass completion as per Fbref.
Brozovic has a contract till 2026 and is valued at €28million as per Transfermarkt but is not happy in Milan due to his reduced importance this season.
He wants to explore a different club and despite his obvious qualities, it makes no sense to add another 30-plus midfielder to the ranks at Old Trafford.
