Portuguese international Dias has of course not featured in sky blue in any fixture since the beginning of March, owing to a hamstring injury.

Spoils shared at the Etihad

News of Dias’ return of course comes just 24 hours on from City, without their star stopper, playing out what many would argue marked the club’s most important outing of the season to date.

This came in the form of a Premier League showdown with title rivals Liverpool.

In the end, a pulsating 90 minutes featuring chances galore saw both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils, owing to strikes on the part of all of Kevin De Bruyne, Diogo Jota, Gabriel Jesus and Sadio Mane.
