Luka Doncic: “Every time I can play, I will play”
Luka Doncic was asked whether his absence from the playoffs with the Dallas Mavericks adds to his determination as he competes for Slovenia in the FIBA World Cup.
“I mean, it’s no difference,” Doncic said. “Every time I play for the national team. Every time I can play, I will play. Playing for a country, representing a country, you’re always motivated, no matter what happens in the [NBA] season.
“Obviously, it was a disappointment. We could have made the playoffs, but playing for a country is special. Representing the country is amazing.”
