Luis Enrique says Paris Saint-Germain will have to contain Liverpool’s “three fighter jets in attack” when the sides meet in the Champions League tomorrow.
The Ligue 1 leaders have been in wonderful form in recent weeks, winning 18 of their last 20 games in all competitions, but former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique remains wary of the Merseysiders, in particular their pacy attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo.
He said: “This is one of the best attacks in Europe. Care must be taken not to suffer too much during transitions. They have three fighter jets in attack, which will have to be stopped. Tomorrow’s goal is to be better than our opponent. We will have to rise to the challenge, but that is our goal and that is what motivates us for tomorrow.”

Luis Enrique is a big fan of Arne Slot
Luis Enrique also heaped praise on his opposite number Arne Slot, who has been hugely impressive since replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Liverpool topped the revamped Champions League group phase and also lead the Premier League standings.
He added: “Liverpool is one of the best teams in Europe in recent years. We will face the team that has played best so far in the Champions League this season.
“After Jürgen Klopp’s period, it could be difficult to do better for Arne Slot, but he managed to create a perfect team that knows how to press, defend and attack. They know how to attack with placed attacks but also fast attacks.
“It’s a very complete team, but it motivates us. This is an opportunity for all of us to show that we are capable of rising to this level.”
Two teams that like to dominate – Luis Enrique
It ought to be a fascinating encounter at the Parc des Princes with the return coming at Anfield next week.
“We are two teams that dominate a lot,” said Luis Enrique. “Tomorrow, there will be two slightly different ideas, but with this common desire to dominate the opponent.
“I think we are two similar teams on the intensity we put into the game, even if Liverpool is certainly more developed physically. On paper, I think it’s one of the best meetings we can see in Europe right now. It will be very, very interesting.”
