Lonzo Ball ‘nowhere near to close’ to being activated from knee injury – HC Billy Donovan
On Saturday, Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan addressed the media regarding Lonzo Ball’s ongoing situation, noting that the guard is “nowhere near close” to be available this 2022-23 season, per Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune.
Ball is yet to make his debut in this ongoing campaign as he is currently undergoing rehabilitation from his knee injury that required two surgical procedures from last season.
Pessimism already swirled around Ball’s playing status this season when reports appeared last September that he is experiencing hardships in running and jumping using his injured knee that took the surgery.
The uncertainty on Ball only puts up massive pressure on the side of the Bulls, with all eyes watching them ahead of the trade deadline. The club has been clinging in hopes of a potential return of the veteran point man, who tremendously aided them on a sparkling run in the first half of the 2021-22 campaign.
Chicago is occupying the shaky 11th spot of the Eastern Conference with a 23-26 record.
