Crystal Palace and Arsenal will resume hostilities this afternoon just three days after the Gunners won their EFL Cup meeting 3-2 at the Emirates.

This time the action takes place at Selhurst Park, although that should not deter Arsenal with Palace winning just once in eight Premier League games on home soil this season.

A win would see the Gunners move within three points of leaders Liverpool although they would have played two games more than Arne Slot’s side.

Prior to the defeat in midweek, Palace were in fine form and ought to be buoyed by their 3-1 win at derby rivals Brighton last weekend.

Crystal Palace team news

Oliver Glasner makes three changes with Nathaniel Clyne, Daichi Kamada and Chris Richards coming in for Caleb Kporha, Eberechi Eze and Trevoh Chalobah.

Eddie Nketiah starts on the bench against his former club.

Palace: Henderson, Cylne, Richards, Lacroix, Guehi, Mitchell, Lerma, Hughes, Sarr, Kamada, Mateta.

Arsenal team news

Mikel Arteta makes seven changes to the side that won in midweek, although hat-trick hero Gabriel Jesus retains his place in attack.

First-choice central defenders Gabriel and William Siliba return, as do Myles Lewis-Skelly, captain Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Saka will make his 250th appearance for Arsenal.

Arsenal: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Odegaard, Havertz, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus.
