LeBron James “The Chosen One” jersey to be sold in auction for $1-2M

The iconic “The Chosen One” jersey worn by LeBron James in high school is set to be auctioned with an estimated value of $1-2 million, as reported by Rustin Dodd of The Athletic.

This historic piece of memorabilia, worn by James during his junior season at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, will be featured in a Julien’s Auctions event in Hong Kong next month.

The jersey gained fame after being showcased on the cover of Sports Illustrated on February 18, 2002, when James was dubbed “The Chosen One.”

Michael LeBrecht, the Sports Illustrated photographer who captured the iconic image, recounted that the photoshoot took place early in the morning, just before James’ practice.
