LeBron James prefers Lakers trade their first round picks to improve team now
The start of this season for the Lakers has been a rough one. Eleven games into the season the team is 2-9 and does not look like a contender at all.
No major moves were made by the Lakers front office during the offseason as Los Angeles did not want to give up their first round picks for 2027 and 2029. Head coach Darvin Ham is optimistic and determined to turn the current roster into a winning team.
At the same time the time is ticking and the team’s main superstar LeBron James is not getting any younger. The four-time NBA champion will turn 38 in December.
He committed to the Lakers by signing a two-year extension this offseason. According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, James wants the team to make moves this season and not wait for next summer.
