Lakers have a new coach
JJ Redick has accepted a four-year deal to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Rob Pelinka extended the offer this morning, and Redick has begun assembling a team of experienced staff members.
Pelinka was convinced by Redick’s strong rapport with players and his high basketball IQ. He believes that surrounding Redick with a top-tier coaching staff will help him quickly adapt to his first coaching role, according to sources.
