Kevin Durant on how he views championships

Kevin Durant is playing his 15th season in the NBA. So far the superstar has won two championships, both with the Warriors.

Some argue that the 34-year-old forward needs to win more titles to put himself amongst the greats. But for KD winning championships is not about him as an individual.

Via Logan Murdock of The Ringer:

“I want to play until I can’t no more, man,” he says. “A title is incredible, but what it’s going to mean to me as an individual? I want to win a title for a city, for my teammates, for the organization. Is it going to get me more notoriety, more attention, a ring? It’s not really about me. That’s how I look at championships. So I want to do this together. I’m looking forward to going on the journey with these guys.”

Currently Durant and the Suns are playing in the first round of the playoffs against the Clippers. Ahead of tonight’s Game 5, Phoenix leads 3-1.
