Kevin Durant led the Phoenix Suns (6-1) to a narrow 118-116 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers (1-5) on Monday night. The superstar forward scored 35 points, including a crucial driving layup with just 24 seconds remaining to break a tie.
The win improved Phoenix’s record to 6-1, while Philadelphia fell to 1-5, spoiling Paul George’s debut with the team. George, who missed the first five games due to a bone bruise in his left knee, contributed 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists in 32 minutes.
