Saginaw, Michigan’s Kenyon Martin told a crazy story on All The Smoke about elbowing Karl Malone as payback for giving Isiah Thomas 40 stitches back in 1991.

(via All The Smoke):

“My second year, we’re playing Utah. Y’all remember Karl Malone elbowed Isiah Thomas and split him open. You remember that? Zeke was leaking. Way before I was ever in the league. And I never thought I was ever gonna be in the NBA to begin with. But I remember he had him leaking. We playing Utah. We in Jersey. We on the break, John Stockton dropped that thang off to him, and I go right upside Karl Malone’s f****** head. Boom! Lay him out! He didn’t get up and do nothing. And I was like, ‘Oh, these MF’ers soft out here!’ And Jerry Sloan, God rest that man’s soul. He’s like, ‘Oh, you MF’er! I’d kick your a**!’ He tried to take up for him, but that was for Zeke.”
