Kawhi Leonard on Paul George: “I don’t look at him to be my savior”

Kawhi Leonard shared his thoughts on Paul George’s departure from the Los Angeles Clippers during the team’s media day. George recently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers after spending five seasons with the Clippers.

Leonard emphasized that while George contributed positively on the court, he does not view him as a crutch. “He obviously made things easier on the court for players,” Leonard said, via Law Murray of The Athletic. “But as far as my mental focus going into the game, I don’t feel like it’s going to be harder for me personally.”

He made it clear that he does not rely on any teammate to carry the burden.
