Justin Timberlake’s drinking buddy drove his car after Sag Harbor DWI arrest: report
Justin Timberlake’s drinking buddy returned to the scene of his arrest and offered to drive his rental car to her house after the singer’s drunk driving bust last month, according to a report.
The “SexyBack” singer, 43 — who is currently in the middle of his world tour — was stopped in the Hamptons last month after blowing a stop sign and swerving out of his lane.
Timberlake was pulled over in Sag Harbor, Long Island, just after midnight on June 18 and charged with driving while intoxicated and cited for running a stop sign and failure to keep in his lane, court documents show.
Despite being intoxicated herself, the unnamed woman who the “My Love” singer had allegedly been drinking with that night drove his rental car to her property after Timberlake was taken to jail, sources told TMZ.
The woman reportedly spoke to the arresting officer, asking him, “Are you going to arrest Justin Timberlake?”
She then offered to drive the singer to her home, where he could stay the night and sober up.
The officer, however, refused to let Timberlake go.
Instead, the woman asked the cops if she could drive Timberlake’s rental car to her house, given that the singer was going to jail, the outlet reports.
The cops allowed her to get behind the wheel, despite her being allegedly under the influence.
The pop star’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr. — who is trying to get the case dismissed — is reportedly set to argue that the two young cops were off in their judgment by letting the woman drive after having a few drinks herself, TMZ reports.
Burke is reportedly looking to make that argument to the judge as part of his motion to get the case thrown out, the outlet adds.

The Post has reached out to Timberlake’s reps and legal team for comment.
It comes as Burke Jr. last week insisted that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
“Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated. And we’re very confident that that charge — that criminal charge will be dismissed,” the pop star’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., told reporters following a court appearance in the case Friday.
Timberlake did not appear in person at the proceedings, as he is scheduled to perform two concerts in Poland as part of his world tour last week.
