Jordan Poole: “I think me and Tyus are trying to find a really good way to play off each other”
New Washington Wizard Jordan Poole spoke about playing next to Tyus Jones after the two guards combined for 54 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals on 51.6% shooting from the field at Madison Square Garden last night (Wizards defeated Knicks 131-106).

Reporter: “Coach Unseld talked about putting the ball in your hands, making you a playmaker tonight a little bit more. What was that like for you having the ball in your hands maybe more as a playmaker, point guard type?”
Poole: “It feels pretty natural. I think me and Tyus are trying to find a really good way to play off each other, find ways to be aggressive; but also allow him to initiate the offense just because he brings in so much help, so much defense. The defense collapses on him too just because he’s such a good playmaker. But just trying to get out in transition, put pressure on the defense, be aggressive if I have a shot, but also try to get my teammates good looks too.”
