The Issue: Photos revealing President Biden lied about not interacting with Hunter’s Chinese associates.

The presidency of our nation should be the pinnacle of elective service to our country — not the reward for a lifetime of corruption and mercenary venality (“The Biden files,” Dec. 28).

The release of photos showing President Biden facilitating his son Hunter Biden’s meeting with business associates linked to China’s government reveals the deceitful nature of his denials of these interactions.

While his and the family’s associations with numerous Chinese officials are bad, the president’s lying appears to be even worse.

This could explain his soft-on-Beijing policies, such as failing to shoot down Chinese spy balloons in a timely manner, among other things.

There ought to be a judicial reckoning that establishes accountability and disgorges the vast sums the Biden family took in at the expense of this country.

For the past four to five years, The Post has printed stories about the Biden family and people refused to believe them.

With all this information — and now the photos — made public, it’s hard to believe that there are still people who refuse to accept it.

Sadly, Joe Biden won’t ever be convicted, but history will surely record him as not only the worst president in American history, but as a man with such a paucity of integrity that he willingly betrayed his country for family profit while significantly endangering national security.

The fact that mainstream media and Hollywood denizens actively participated in the coverup of Biden’s lies and deceived the American people is equally as putrid.

The most unbelievable part of all this is that a third of Americans, when surveyed, still have a favorable opinion of Biden’s presidency.

Did the Biden family enjoy their last taxpayer-funded St. Croix vacation? Hopefully, they’ve all seen Saturday’s New York Post cover and story.

President Biden’s lies about having no knowledge of Hunter’s business and never meeting his associates are coming back to haunt him.

Both he and former President Barack Obama were aware of the cover photos’ existence and tried to suppress them.

Now, Biden’s back is up against the wall with nowhere to hide. Photos don’t lie; Joe Biden does.

The Issue: The Guardian Angels’ returning to patrol the subways in the wake of a crime spike.

What a comfort to know the red berets are back out there on our subways (“Hip, hip, beret!” Dec. 31).

I have the utmost respect for our police and the dangers they face everyday, but they can’t be everywhere at once.

The public has to do more than take pictures, and the red berets will do something. I was just getting close to riding the subway for the first time in three years, but the closest I got was the MetroCard machine.

Hopefully, with the addition of the berets, I will actually get back on in 2025.

It’s good to see some manner of protection in the subway system, but I am not clear as to how crime can be decreased by the Angels.

How will these volunteers protect themselves or help those who are being attacked? Sometimes fists are not sufficient.

Regardless, I admire them and wish them success.
